Icom Marathon Runner Raises £537 for the British Heart Foundation!

Ian Lockyer, Marketing Manager of Icom UK Ltd has raised £537 for the British Heart Foundation after completing the recent Virgin London Marathon. Ian completed the marathon in 5 hours 57 minutes.

Ian said, ‘I am really grateful for the support from those who sponsored me and those who supported me over the last three months. I had a fantastic day and the London crowds were magnificent. However, I was enjoying myself a bit too much as I went out a bit too quickly in the first half of the race and ended up paying for it badly in the second half. Still, I completed the race and have put in again for the ballot next year…I feel I have some unfinished business with this race.’

The British Heart Foundation is the UK’s number one heart charity. Coronary heart disease is the UK’s single biggest killer and the BHF leads the fight with pioneering research that has helped to transform the lives of people living with heart and circulatory conditions.
