Barry Vane …The Golf Course…Here I come!
Barry Vane, Commercial Dealer Manager of Icom UK Ltd is about to hang up his radio demo bag and take early retirement after 18 years service. As an accomplished and experienced sales professional, Barry has made an important contribution to the success of Icom Business Radios in the UK market. He will be greatly missed by Icom’s staff as well as dealers, partners and customers. Barry said, ‘I have loved my years at Icom. The company has been exceptionally good to work for. I have enjoyed my relationship with the dealers and it has been a real pleasure to have been welcomed in so many places. In fact, many of our dealers have become good friends and I will miss them very much.’ So how is Barry going to spend his retirement? Barry said,’ It is time to put my feet up and live a life of leisure. I am a grandfather so it will be great to be able to spend more time seeing my new grandson grow up. Ask anyone who knows me, they know I have a passion for golf…in fact my wife and I both share that passion and we will be spending as much time on the golf course as possible…especially the Algarve golf courses in Winter.’ He added,’ there is also a strong rumour that I will be buying an Icom HF radio so you might well hear me on the bands.’ Barry’s last day at Icom will be the 25th November 2010.
