How does the emergency feature on the IC-SAT100 work?

When you press the Emergency button, the PTT is automatically active for five seconds after a short burst of emergency beeps.  This emergency is sent out to the currently active Talkgroup, unless a priority Talkgroup has been selected via the radio's settings on the Iridium PTT Command Centre. All radios currently on that Talkgroup will receive the emergency alert.

This emergency will continue to repeat on a cycle of emergency beeps and open mic until the sending radio has been switched off to cancel the emergency alert.
