How should I store my Marine VHF Radio and batteries for the Winter?

If you are storing your marine VHF radios away for an extended period such as the Winter, you should wash them with tap water to reduce salt corrosion. Once dried your radios should then be stored in a clean, dry, cool place with the battery removed (if it is removable).

Li-Ion batteries are best stored for long periods at approximately half their capacity and should not be stored when low on charge or flat.
