Icom UK, Proud to be Official Suppliers of Radio Communication Equipment to Aberdeen Asset Management Cowes Week

Icom UK is once again proud of its continual support as Official Suppliers of Radio Communication Equipment to Aberdeen Asset Management Cowes Week. Icom’s sponsorship provides the event organisers, Cowes Week Limited (CWL) with a mixture of marine and commercial radio transceivers to help the officials in marshalling race activity.

Image Copyright Rick Tomlinson The equipment supplied by Icom is used to provide communication between the race officers to co-ordinate race starts, set courses and marshal the competitors. The radios are also used for communicating with other vessels (including commercial shipping and ferries) and the coastguard.

Ian Lockyer , Marketing Manager of Icom UK said “We have been involved with Cowes Week for thirteen years and we are really proud to have such a strong relationship with this prestigious event. There has already been some fantastic racing this week. We just want to wish all the competitors the best of luck”.

Aberdeen Asset Management Cowes Week takes place between the 3rd and 10th of August 2013.
