Icom launch new website: www.icomuk.co.uk
Radio Communication Company, Icom (UK) Ltd has just announced the launch of their new web site. Aimed at providing customers with quick and easy access to Icom’s increasing product catalogue, the new site contains many useful features including a comprehensive news section as well as a complete listing of all the company’s products.
The site, developed at the company’s headquarters in Herne Bay, has been designed to project a modern image. The colours have been chosen to be clear and crisp to the eye and the graphics detailed yet quick to download.
One of the design criteria was that the site should be quick and easy to use, with the ADS software this has been achieved, allowing the site to contain pictures and details on every radio and navigational product in the Icom range. Site navigation has been made easy throughout the site with the use of clearly laid out buttons including a top tool bar. A search function has been included for those users who wish to find specific information quickly, rather than browsing the site.
Icom (UK) Ltd have included a wide variety of features on the site including a section for new products, and special offers, Frequently Answered Question and links page to other web sites. Links have been made to relevant sites such as the Maritime and Coastguard Agency, Civil Aviation Authority and Radio Society of Great Britain etc. Where there are legislative changes, the consumer will find pertinent information on the Icom home site. A user-friendly ‘Contact us’ page is also included allowing consumers to gain further information or pass on their remarks to the company
Ian Lockyer, Marketing Executive of Icom (UK) Ltd said, ‘This is stage one in the site's development. The company has big plans for the site and aims to make interactive dealer access a fundamental part of the site allowing dealers access to vital information, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. An E-Commerce function is also planned which will make the site a fundamental part of the companies sales operation.’
