Winner of SeaWork IC-M21 competition announced
Ian Lockyer, Marketing Manager of Icom (UK) Ltd was on hand to oversee the presentation of an IC-M21 to the winner of the Ocean Safety/Icom competition held at the recent SeaWork exhibition. John Harrison, UK Sales Manager of Ocean Safety, presented Jed Hughes with the IC-M21 on Friday 25th July 2003 at the Ocean Safety Offices in Southampton. Jed's name was chosen from hundreds of entries. Jed, Managing Director of Terrasea Services, said: “I thought SeaWork was an excellent exhibition this year. It was such a surprise when I found out that I had won such a fabulous prize.” The IC-M21 is Icom's best selling entry level VHF marine handheld transceiver. It has a number of exciting features, most notably waterproofing equivalent to JIS 7 standard. This is the same level as the very successful IC-M1EuroV, a model that has become an industry standard.
