Icom make waves at LIBS 2004
Icom UK Ltd will be once again showcasing its latest range of products at London International Boat Show (LIBS) 2004. For us the highlight of this year's show will be the launch of three new products: the IC-M31 entry level VHF marine handheld transceiver; IC-4088SR licence free/PMR446 transceiver; IC-F51/F61 waterproof commercial transceiver. Details of these new launches and other fantastic offers can be found on Stand No. S2415 at Excel, London from the 8th to the 18th of January 2004. The IC-M31 is a simple-to-use, value-for-money VHF Marine Transceiver. Designed for reliable, simple and safe operation, the IC-M31 features a one-piece, die-cast aluminium chassis and an ultra-durable polycarbonate case. For increased flexibility, the IC-M31 has a long-lasting, rechargeable Ni-Cd battery that fits inside the radio case and locks firmly into place, offering a waterproof seal. Also included as standard is an empty battery case, which can be used with any standard AA battery cells, providing a convenient back-up and great reassurance in an emergency. Priced at £159.99 inc. VAT, the IC-M31 is sure to make waves in the marine market! Icom UK Ltd are also pleased to announce the launch of their new PMR 446 licence free transceiver - the IC-4088SR. Designed to meet the demands of the licence free PMR 446 service, this new model replaces the successful IC-446S and builds on its functionality, features and operating performance. Featuring a high level of flexibility, the IC-4088SR allows instant communication between members of a group in and around buildings and over short distances. This makes it the perfect tool for keeping in touch with friends, family and work colleagues whilst in close proximity to them. What's more it is water-resistant, making it ideal for use in Marinas or on inland waterways etc. Designed with particular emphasis on commercial use the IC-F51/F61 series is the first waterproof Icom handportable for the Private Mobile Radio market. The IC-F51/F61 meets the same waterproofing standards as many Icom marine VHF handhelds and brings a new durability to tough working environments. There are two versions of the radio: IC-F51 for VHF and IC-F61 for UHF. The IC-F61 is particularly ideal for the super yacht or ferry market places where use is made of 'onboard' UHF marine frequencies. Icom (UK) Ltd has also updated their website ‘www.icomuk.co.uk’. The site has been given a “fresh polish” and features enhancements a more modern/contemporary feel. As well as displaying the great range of marine products, Icom dealers will be having some great show offers of their own. Take the time to browse around the electronics section at Excel.
