Monitor Maritime Traffic with the MXA-5000

Radio communications company, Icom UK have provided a fantastic way of keeping tabs on ships…..all from one little black box.

The MXA-500 is a receiver/scanner that picks up special radio signals being broadcast from AIS (Automatic Identification System) transmitters on commercial and leisure ships. This information such as course, speed and position is then relayed to a PC screen or if you are a boat owner, a chartplotter.
