Poole Bay Small Boat Angling Club

We are a small club established to promote safety at sea and small boat angling. We have in excess of 150 members with over 90 boats.

St. Helier Yacht Club

Associations

Cetacean Research & Rescue Unit

Formed in 1997, the CRRU is a small non-profit research organisation based in northeast Scotland working for the conservation and protection of whales, dolphins and porpoises in Scottish waters through scientific investigation, environmental education and the provision of a 24 hour veterinary service for sick, injured and stranded individuals. The charity currently has projects in Scotland, Gibraltar and Thailand, with studies aiming to increase our present knowledge of these enigmatic marine mammals to provide robust scientific data for the adoption of management measures and effective conservation strategies for their future protection.

Cruising Association

Currently the CA has 16 UK sections, from Essex to the Highlands, and Baltic and Mediterranean sections. It organises an extensive programme of lectures, courses and social events primarily during the winter months and rallies in the summer months and publishes an almanac and cruising guides.

Maritime Volunteer Service

The Maritime Volunteer Service is a recognised national maritime training organisation and a UK registered charity with more than 25 units around the country providing training to nationally and internationally recognised standards, serving local communities especially in times of need or emergency and taking part in resilience exercises ashore and afloat.

Royal Yachting Association

The RYA is the UK’s national association for all forms of recreational and competitive boating, representing sailing, motor cruising, sports boats, windsurfing, inland boating, powerboat racing and personal watercraft.

duck-2-water Training

duck-2-water is a RYA Training centre based in the Southampton and Solent Area. Running frequent SRC VHF/DSC Radio courses all year round both at weekends and during the week.

Dun Laoghaire Powerboat School

Dun Laoghaire Powerboat school is situated in Dun Laoghaire Harbour, with it's large area of sheltered water which is ideal for year round boat training.

Personal Watercraft Partnership

The PWP has been set-up to represent the PWC industry and to provide information and resources to authorities, harbours etc to help them assess potential issues (safety, environment, noise etc) with the use of PWCs in their area and provide tools and information to help manage their use.

Operating Marine Transmitters requires an appropriate Radio Operator's certificate. Contact RT Training for Radio Training on ICOM equipment.

Seavoice Training

Seavoice Training is an accredited Royal Yachting Association (RYA) approved training centre based in the North West of England, headed up by principal trainer Paul Harrison. Paul has over 20 years’ experience in Search & Rescue operations and Distress, Urgency and Safety communications.

Weymouth & Portland National Sailing Academy

Weymouth & Portland National Sailing Academy Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy is a centre for the sport of sailing on the Isle of Portland, Dorset, on the south coast of England, United Kingdom.

Local, national and international sailing events have been held at the site since it was opened in 2000, and in 2005 WPNSA was selected to host the sailing events at the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
