I-Track (Portable)
I-Track (Portable) Personnel Management Radio System (Discontinued)
I-Track Portable is a tracking system designed to work with an Icom handheld fleet or in
tandem with an existing I-Track Vehicle Management System. Used together, they provide a
total personnel management solution.
I-Track Portable works in the same way as the I-Track Vehicle Management Tracking System
and is aimed at organisations with operatives at street level such as traffic wardens or
mobile fleets like bike couriers. The range of applications for this product is immense.
I-Track Portable operates on the Icom IC-F31GT high-tier advanced radio and
utilises FFSK software and a lightweight GPS receiver that allows operators
based at HQ to monitor employees' movements
by tracking and communicating with them.
Icom radio technology also allows operators to send voice, text and status messages (utilising the IC-F31GT 2-line scrolling display), to create a powerful two-way communication tool capable of enhancing staff efficiency and above all - safety.
The main features of I-Track Portable are:
• GPS tracking of employees in real time.
• I-Track client program analyses employee movements and history.
• 2-way voice communication between IC-F1610 base-station and IC-F31GT employee handportable.
• Status Messaging between IC-F1610 base-station and handportable.
• Text Messaging between IC-F1610 base-station and handportable. The I-Track Portable system consists of Five Integral Elements: • I-Track client program (supplied on CD).
• Microsoft Map point data (also supplied on CD).
• Icom IC-F1610 transceiver programmed for base-station installation.
• Icom IC-F31GT programmed for each employee.
• Remote speaker/microphone with built-in GPS (worn on user’s lapel). The I-Track client program runs on a standard IBM compatible personal computer. You can view data showing an employee's position and track their history overlaid on a Microsoft land-cartography display. I-Track keeps a historical database of people's movements, giving you the ability to review route activity, current and past. I-Track Portable offer an organisation the following benefits: Improved Management
Know where your employees are and if they have deviated from their planned route. If they have, you can suggest alternative directions. Improved Employee Security & Safety
Today, organisations have to be more security conscious.Whether in an industry where operatives face daily abuse, or even attack, I-Track can be used to pinpoint the exact location of your operative and can also instruct a nearby colleague to assist. Cost Savings
I-Track offers combined data and voice, no need for expensive phones or pagers. Once the system is set up, the only cost for users is electricity and a licence. Improved Communications
I-Track uses 3 forms of communication. You make the most appropriate choice of voice, text or status. Constant Archiving
All positions are stored in the base station computer for incident analysis and personal training. Because I-Track records the full history of an employee's journey, you have a record that may be used to settle any employee/customer disputes. Swifter Response to your Customers Demands
By the use of simple text/status messages your employee will receive information relevant to the planning of their whole day. By tracking employees on the mapping software, you can locate your operatives, communicate with them if problems arise and inform your customers of their estimated arrival times. Expandable
The system can be easily expanded to incorporate additional operatives or vehicles. You can upgrade your I-Track system for larger network coverage, e.g. Two operators could, for example, control different fleets or different areas.
