Are the batteries and chargers compatible between the new version of the IC-F3002 and its predecessor?

The reintroduction of the IC-F3002 into our commercial two-way radio line-up provides a rugged alternative for customers. Although this radio is similar, it is an upgraded model with a new sleek front panel design, lower battery consumption technology and a new speaker allowing improved audio.

The BP-265 battery from the original version of this model must be charged with the original BC-193 charger and not the latest BC-240 charger. The latest versions of batteries BP-298 and BP-299 batteries must be charged in the BC-240 charger and not the BC-193 . You are not able to mix the batteries or chargers. They are incompatible and will not charge the batteries.
