Can the IC-M94DE be re-programmed with a new MMSI if you change boats?

For use in UK waters, the IC-M94DE should be programmed with a personal MMSI number; this number is not assigned to your vessel, so it can be used on any vessel you happen to be on.

If you need to change the MMSI number on the latest versions of many of our radios, including the IC-M94DE, there is a manufacturer-assisted MMSI reset method that the end user can perform. Earlier versions would need to be reset by a technical dealer or by returning the set to Icom UK. Details of this feature are supplied in the user manual of relevant models compatible with it.
