GB7NI Joins the D-STAR Repeater Network in Northern Ireland

A new 2M D-STAR repeater based in Belfast has recently been set up by the Greenisland Electronics Amateur Radio Society. The site overlooks Belfast lough and is proving very popular with the local Amateur community. The current D-Star repeater has been worked from as far away as Glasgow, The Isle of Man and down the North West coast of England.

Currently the site not only hosts the D-Star repeater, but also GB3TX 6 metre repeater, the 4m Beacon, GB3CFG, and the local APRS node MB7UIN. .
