How do I program memory channels into my IC-A6 and IC-A24 airband radios?

Entering Frequencies into Channels
1. Push and hold the PWR button to turn on the radio.
2. Push the CLR DEL button to select the frequency mode.
3. Enter the frequency that you want to use (e.g. 121.900).
4. Push the F button and then push the MR MW button. The “M” memory mode indicator, the bank indicator, and the memory channel number will blink on and off in the lower right corner of the display.
5. Use the rotary tuning knob to select the memory channel where you want the frequency placed.
6. Press the ENT WX button to program the frequency into the memory channel. Two short “beeps” will sound to tell you that that channel has been programmed.

Programming Frequencies into a Bank
1. You must be in Memory mode, so press the MR MW button to set the radio to Memory mode.
2. Select the Bank where you wish to place the memory channels. Press the F button and then press the 0 Bank button. The word “BANK – (bank number, e.g. 4)” will appear in the display.
3. Use the rotary knob to select the bank you wish to use.
4. When you have the bank selected, press the ENT button to set the bank. Observe the lower right corner of the display and you will see the small number next to the “M” change to the bank number you have selected.
5. Program your memory channels as shown in “Programming a Memory Channel” above and all of them will go into the bank that you have selected.
