How should I charge the Lithium Ion battery from my Marine VHF radio?

Li-Ion batteries do not suffer with memory effect like the Ni-Cad's of the past. There is no problem with topping up the charge of a partly discharged battery and there is no need to ever run the battery down before charging. For long term storage* of a Li-Ion battery it is best practice to store the battery with approximately half charge and remove/disconnect from your radio.

*Long term being a period greater than a couple of months, e.g. end of the season for storing over the winter.
