Icom Launch Two New Marine Models at IBEX 2025

Icom launched two new marine models at the recent IBEX show, held at the Tampa Convention Centre in Florida. The models introduced were the IC-M430 Fixed-Mount Marine VHF Radio and the MA-600TRBB Class B+ AIS Transponder. Both units represent Icom's ongoing commitment to developing high-quality marine electronic equipment that leads to safer navigation for our customers at sea.

IC-M430 Fixed-Mount Marine VHF Radio

The IC-M430 Fixed-Mount Marine VHF Radio (top image) introduces several key features for reliable maritime communication:

• First-in-Class Colour TFT LCD: A vivid colour display with three selectable modes (Day, Day-Black and Night) for optimal visibility in any condition.
• Advanced Connectivity: Supports both NMEA 2000™ and NMEA 0183-HS.
• Built-in GPS (GNSS) Receiver: The transceiver includes a built-in GPS (GNSS) receiver/antenna with the option to connect an external antenna for enhanced performance.
• Compact and Sleek Design: A slimmer body reduces depth by over 50% compared to our IC-M423GE whilst keeping the same front panel and flush mount dimensions, allowing for easy installation in tight spaces while matching the aesthetic of modern boats.
• Hailer and Foghorn: Features a built-in hailer and foghorn with both manual and automatic modes.
• Class D DSC and Distress Button

MA-600TRBB Class B+ AIS Transponder

The MA-600TRBB Class B+ AIS Transponder (bottom image) is a black box AIS transponder designed to broadcast your position and allow you to navigate with confidence:

• Class B+ SOTDMA Technology: Utilises 5 Watts of transmit power for enhanced performance.
• Built-in Antenna Splitter: Allows sharing a single VHF antenna with a marine radio.
• Compatibility: Works seamlessly with Icom marine radios and radars.
• NMEA 2000™ and NMEA 0183-HS: Displays received AIS targets on compatible equipment.
• GNSS Antenna Included: Supports GPS, GLONASS and Galileo satellite systems.
• Silent Mode: Pause AIS transmission with a remote ON/OFF switch.
• IPX7 Waterproof Protection.
