Icom Support Superbike Team

Icom UK is continuing their three year sponsorship of ISILON MSS Discovery Kawasaki, the official Supersport Team for Kawasaki Motors Europe. Icom has donated IC-F15 VHF Handheld Transceivers to the team.

Nick Morgan, ISILON MSS Discovery Kawasaki team manager said, “Good communication between key staff is paramount to the smooth running of the team. During particularly stressful times such as qualifying rounds and actual races, communication between the pit box and the pit-wall is vital. You have to have a clear line of communication in an environment that is very noisy!”

He went on to say, “Thanks to Icom for the support they’ve given us over the past three years. Without the radios it would be difficult to communicate between team members, from me to the crew chiefs, to the guys that man the pit-boards that pass the information on to the riders. Without Icom, our communications would be near on impossible”.

ISILON MSS Discovery Kawasaki has had a strong year so far with good results in both Superbikes and Supersports with Michael Rutter in 10th position and Stuart Easton in 7th place in their respective divisions. Michael Rutter achieved his fastest ever lap time around the Isle of Man TT track aboard his Ninja ZX-10R. He achieved a best lap time of 125.003mph achieving seventh place in the Superbike practice runs.
