Icom UK Wins Customer Service Award at the Inaugural Sailors’ Choice Awards

We are proud to share that last night at the Southampton International Boat Show, Icom UK was named the Customer Service winner at the first-ever Sailors’ Choice Awards!

Organised by the teams at Practical Boat Owner and Yachting Monthly, these awards mean an awful lot to us because they weren’t decided behind closed doors by an industry panel. Instead, the shortlist and the final winners were chosen entirely by the sailing public, the very people who rely on our kit and pick up the phone to talk to us.

Looking after our customers has always been at the heart of everything we do. Whether it’s helping a boat owner choose the right radio, offering technical advice, turning around a service or simply being a friendly voice on the end of the line, we’ve always believed that great service comes down to genuinely caring about the community you serve.

Every single person in our building plays a part in this, from the team taking calls and offering technical advice, to the workshop, our warehouse, and everyone keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes. Because this was voted for directly by sailors and boat owners out on the water, it means the world to our team.’
