Icom UK support Aberdeen Asset Management Cowes Week 2015
Icom UK is once again supporting Aberdeen Asset Management Cowes Week as Official Supplier of Radio Communication Equipment. Icom’s sponsorship provides the event organisers, Cowes Week Limited (CWL) with a mixture of marine and commercial radio transceivers to help the officials in marshalling race activity.
The equipment supplied by Icom is used to provide communication between the race officers to co-ordinate race starts, set courses and marshal the competitors. The radios are also used for communicating with other vessels (including commercial shipping and ferries) and the coastguard.

Aberdeen Asset Management Cowes Week takes place between the 8th and 15th of August 2014. The event is a key part of the British sporting calendar and is a great mix of competitive sailing and a vibrant social scene and has evolved enormously since the early days; it now attracts up to 1,000 competing boats, around 8,500 competitors and at least 100,000 visitors.
