Icom X-026 Concept Project to Make World Premiere at Dayton Hamvention 2026

Following the buzz generated by a teaser video published last month, Icom has confirmed that the X-026 concept project will be making its highly anticipated world premiere at Dayton Hamvention 2026 (May 15th-17th).

While a glimpse of this project was recently shared online a teaser video, visitors to the event in Ohio will have the exclusive opportunity to see the physical model on display for the very first time. The X-026 represents a significant step in Amateur radio design, continuing Icom's long-standing tradition of showcasing innovative engineering concepts to the global community.

While Dayton Hamvention provides the first physical look at the concept project, the full official reveal is scheduled for the Tokyo Ham Fair later this year.

Full details on the new model including its official name, final specifications, availability and target price are expected to be disclosed at the Tokyo event. Until that time, we are unable to comment on the various technical conjectures currently circulating online.
