Icom's new IC-M21 handheld - incredible features - exceptional value!

Icom's new handheld - incredible features - exceptional value! Icom (UK) Ltd are pleased to announce details of their new entry level VHF marine handheld transceiver, the IC-M21. This stylish new product has a number of exciting features, most notably waterproofing equivalent to JIS 7 standard. This is the same level as the very successful IC-M1EuroV, a model that has become an industry standard.

Ideal for either pleasure boat users or commercial users, the IC-M21 has an abundance of features including dual and tri watch, tag and priority scanning, an adjustable button beep tone level, signal strength indicator and a Sub-channel display.

All of the controls are large and easy to use, each of which has been carefully designed and positioned to provide the simplest of user interfaces. This combines with the largest, fully illuminated display in its class, to clearly show the operating channel and status.

The IC-M21 delivers up to 5 watts of RF power, providing clear communications over the water. For increased flexibility, the IC-M21 comes as standard with a Ni-Cd battery pack and empty battery case. The battery case can be used with alkaline cells, providing a convenient back-up and great reassurance in an emergency.

Ian Lockyer, Marketing Executive for Icom (UK) Ltd said, 'We believe that this new model, with its improved operating performance and high level of standard features, will reinforce our strong reputation as the number one supplier of marine radio communication products'.

The IC-M21 can be seen on Icom (UK) Ltd stand at the London International Boatshow 2002 and will be available through all major marine electronics outlets and specialist chandlers in April. Retailing at only £199.99 inc. VAT, the IC-M21 demonstrates exceptional value for money. Each radio is supplied with BC-150 charger, BP-223 battery case with BP-224 Ni-Cd battery pack, belt clip, handstrap and a handbook.
