Icom Showcases New IC-M506 VHF Fixed Mount Radio with AIS Receiver at Hamble Point Boat Show 2014

Icom is attending the Hamble Point Boat Show on 10th & 11th May 2014 and will be exhibiting its leading line-up of marine radios and AIS products. The boatshow will be held at the Hamble Point Marina, and offers free admission and parking.

Icom will be taking its mobile showroom for this event and will be showcasing its new IC-M506 VHF marine transceiver. The IC-M506 is Icom’s first VHF model to have an integrated AIS receiver, allowing you to bring up vessel traffic information on the display. Another first for Icom, the IC-M506 features the plug-and-play functionality of NMEA 2000 as well the ability to switch also NMEA 0183 for current equipment.

The Hamble Point Boat Show will feature dozens of new and used boats for sale, from dayboats to sportsboats, cruisers and RIBs. On-water displays will add to the entertainment, alongside practical workshops in conjunction with the RYA Active Marina programme and an RNLI lifejacket clinic.
