Icom to Showcase New Radio Products at the Emergency Services Show
Radio communication specialist, Icom UK will be attending this year's Emergency Services Show at the NEC on Stand M34 between the 18th and 19th September. On display we be showing the IC-SAT100, a unique Satellite PTT handheld radio terminal that uses the new Iridium LEO satellite network. Unlike a satellite phone, the IC-SAT100 will provide one to many radio communication with the push of a PTT (Press to Talk) button. It can be used as a communication tool in remote and isolated areas where there is no mobile phone or landline network infrastructure. Also, in the event radio or even cellular network infrastructure may be rendered unusable by human or natural disasters, satellite communication can provide a stable and reliable backup solution. The IC-SAT100 is a perfect communication tool for those providing humanitarian support in remote and isolated areas or for emergency assistance where terrestrial communication does not exist. Also on display at the show alongside our IP501H LTE handportable are two new additions to Icom's LTE/PoC radio products. Designed to be installed in a vehicle, the new IP501M LTE mobile will provide a straightforward easy to use interface offering low-cost national and Europewide PTT coverage over the LTE/4G network. Alongside the IP500 series, we will show the VE-PG4 is an intelligent connectivity device, designed to provide a connection for a variety of devices over a large area. The VE-PG4 can connect digital and analogue LMR, plus Marine and aviation radios, also LTE and VoIP communication terminals, plus IP telephone systems and external devices. In addition to IP Network use (LAN/WAN), the built-in LTE module (network coverage provided by a custom SIM card) can provide virtually national and Europewide communication coverage. Also on display will be our new IC-M37E. Designed for both commercial and recreational boaters, this is Icom's latest buoyant marine VHF handheld and comes with 6 watts of power for extended communications range. This radio has a great simple design that is comfortable to hold, simple to operate and easy to read. A perfect marine VHF radio for responders. Bob Stockley, Managing Director of Icom UK, said, 'If you are looking to keep your organisation connected, we have a vast range of solutions to cover all eventualities whether local, national or global, or on land, sea or air.
