Icom Radios Supplied to Sunderland RAF Air Cadets, Courtesy of Eemits
Sunderland Royal Air Force Cadets have received a donation of Icom’s IC-F4002 from Eemits Communications Limited. The radios will be used alongside their existing mobile two way radio to increase safety at major events such as next year’s Sunderland airshow as well as for key expeditions and day walks. The IC-F4002’s will initially be used to train cadets in radio protocol and procedure before being used at public events. This is part of a full communication syllabus delivered by the RAF Cadets which enable cadets to earn a Blue, Bronze, Silver or Gold Badge. Flight Lieutenant James Yeo, based at 111 Sunderland Squadron said, “The radios will be used to teach essential life skills, such as confidence, good communication and diction”. We wish Sunderland RAF Air Cadets all the best for the future! To get in contact with Eemits, visit their website www.eemits.co.uk or call them on 0800 328 0100.
