New Videos: Explore the Features of Icom LTE/ Wi-Fi Radios

We have added two new videos to our YouTube channel related to our LTE and Wi-Fi radio range. The first is about the new IP510 LTE/Wi-Fi Hybrid Handheld Transceiver and the other is about the Simultaneous TalkListen function that is featured on our LTE and Wi-Fi radios.

Icom’s new IP510 LTE/Wi-Fi Hybrid Handheld Transceiver is compact, lightweight and serves as an all-in-one solution, automatically switching between nationwide 4G LTE networks and local Wi-Fi networks. This ensures continuous connectivity, even in areas where LTE signals are weak or unavailable.

Conventional two-way radios do not allow for simultaneous talking and listening as they operate in 'Half-Duplex' mode, where only one person can transmit a signal at a time. Equally, 'Full Duplex' mode provides the ability to communicate both ways at the same time, much like using telephones and mobile phones. At Icom, we refer to this feature as "Simultaneous Talk/Listen."
