X-026 Production Version Set for Worldwide Reveal at Tokyo Ham Fair 2026!
The global Amateur radio community is turning its attention to Tokyo as Icom prepares to reveal the highly anticipated X-026 at this weekend’s Tokyo Ham Fair (29th–30th August at Ariake GYM-EX).
Following appearances in its concept form earlier this year at the Dayton Hamvention, Ham Radio Friedrichshafen and the WRTC 2026 event here in the UK, the final unveil will take place this weekend.
Icom will officially launch the production version and name of the X-026 with a global
YouTube Livestream on Saturday, 29th August 2026, at 02:30 AM BST (10:30 AM JST), featuring Ray Novak, N9JA and Ham Radio Crash Course broadcasting live from the Icom booth at Tokyo Ham Fair.
In addition to the "X-026" reveal, the Icom booth (B12) will feature an incredible lineup of our flagship equipment, including:
• The all new
ID-5200E mobile D-STAR® transceiver.
• The
IC-7300MK2 HF/50/70 MHz transceiver, featuring external display output.
• The
IC-7760 HF/50 MHz transceiver with full remote-control demonstrations.
• SHF Band Technology, including 24GHz demonstrations with the
ID-905.
• Plus much, much more!
