Experienced Two Way Radio Engineer
We are looking for an experienced two-way radio engineer for our busy service department at at our Herne Bay office in Kent. The ideal applicant would be a licenced Radio Amateur with a radio background, but an individual with previous experience in servicing & maintaining either Marine or PMR radio communication equipment would also flourish. Demonstrated knowledge of radio installation practices, RF propagation and RF budget calculation is an essential requirement for this role. Experience with software installation is also required along with basic IT skills for using spreadsheets and drawing packages.Key Responsibilities
- Working with radios from the marine, aviation, amateur and PMR markets
- Diagnosing and resolving faults to component level in radio equipment and systems
- Ensuring that all repairs comply with industry standards and regulations (e.g. Ofcom)
- Working as a team with our existing engineers on repair projects
- Occasionally providing technical support and assistance to our customers, both trade and retail
