Icom Unveils New Marine VHF & AIS Models at Skipper Expo 2026 (Stand D29)
We are pleased to announce that we will be exhibiting at the Scottish Skipper Expo 2026 from the 7th to the 8th of May at P&J Live, Aberdeen. The event marks the UK debut of our new VHF, the IC-M430, and an all-new AIS transponder, the MA-600TRBB.
The
IC-M430 is the first of a new generation of VHF from Icom, designed for modern wheelhouses where space is a priority. Featuring an impressive TFT LCD display and an ultra-slim design, it offers 50% less depth than previous models for easier installation.
The IC-M430 includes built-in GPS with NMEA 2000® and NMEA 0183 connectivity, alongside PA and fog horn functionality. It also offers dual-station capability via our optional
HM-195GB Commandmic™, as well as a dedicated Night Mode for clear viewing in all lighting conditions.
Alongside the new VHF, Icom will feature the
MA-600TRBB Black Box Class B+ AIS transponder. This high-performance SOTDMA solution delivers 5W of transmit power and full NMEA 2000 connectivity, ensuring vessels remain visible and safe in even the busiest commercial waters
Our Marine Radio Specialist, Chris Leech, will be on hand at Stand D29 to provide advice and demonstrations of the ICOM maritime range, featuring our line-up of handheld and fixed radios and our complete range of GMDSS models, portable and fixed VHF plus SSB.
The bi-annual event promises an action-packed two days for anyone involved in the commercial fishing/workboat sector with opportunities to connect with industry experts, discover new technology and explore solutions designed to enhance safety at sea.
Visitors can attend for free, so whether you are looking to upgrade your vessel's communication system or just want some general advice on comms equipment, Chris will be available to talk you through and provide expert recommendations tailored to your specific requirements.
