Convert your IC-M510E into a Combined Marine VHF/DSC Radio/Class B + Transponder Solution with Digital Yacht

Digital Yacht, specialists in navigation and communication have advised us of a new product called the AIT2500 Class B AIS transponder that will work alongside our fixed IC-M510 marine VHF/DSC creating a combined VHF/DSC/Class B+ AIS transponder solution. This solution would be ideal for a small boat like a RIB or sports boat with limited dash space.

Provides a Compact Marine VHF/DSC Radio/Class B+ Transponder Solution with the Icom IC-M510E
Many boaters want AIS transmission capability on their fixed marine VHF and the AIT2500 makes the perfect partner for the Icom IC-M510 VHF/DSC radio, upgrading the system to a full Class B+ AIS transponder while integrating with the Icom VHF for easy DSC call capability to AIS targets and sharing AIS and GPS data via NMEA 0183 OR NMEA 2000 with Icom's optional interface.

Latest Class B+ AIS Transmit Capability
The AIT2500 uses the latest Class B+ SOTDMA technology. This offers 2.5 times the transmit power of regular Class B plus a more frequent position update based on the vessel's speed. Like a commercial Class A transponder, SOTDMA technology guarantees a transmission slot in areas of high AIS traffic.

RS-M500 Mobile app for VHF as well.
Building on mobile device integration into boat nav and communication systems, the free RS-M500 app for use with the IC-M510 transforms your mobile phone into a 2nd station for the VHF with the ability to transmit, receive and change channels. It's ideal for cockpit or flybridge use.

No Requirement for a 2nd VHF Antenna
This solution includes a patented Zero loss SPL2000 VHF-AIS antenna splitter - allowing the primary VHF antenna to be shared with the VHF and the AIT2500. You don't need to install a 2nd VHF antenna, saving time and cost while preserving excellent performance.

Full Integration & Interface with any System
The AIT2500 has NMEA 0183 and NMEA 2000 interfaces, so it will also integrate with plotters and MFDs. There's also USB for a PC or MAC and you can easily connect to a tablet or iPad for app navigation using the optional Navlink NMEA 2000 wireless gateway.

FM Radio Output Too
The SPL2000 also features an FM radio (boat stereo) antenna output, allowing the VHF antenna to be utilised with the VHF and AIS and an onboard stereo. Ideal for RIBs and sports boats to cut down on antenna clutter.

The AIT2500 provides an alternative solution to our MA-510TR Class B transponder and provides a solution for boaters who want a combined VHF/DSC with AIS transponder but have limited space.
