Icom make waves at LIBS 2003
Icom UK Ltd will be once again showcasing its latest range of products at London International Boat Show (LIBS) 2003. The highlight of this year's show will be the launch of five new marine products which include the IC-M601 combined VHF/DSC transceiver, IC-M87 VHF/PMR marine handheld transceiver, IC-M802 MF/HF transceiver, IC-F510M Marine Fixed Mobile and IC-M401V Vehicle Mount Transceiver. Details of these new products and other fantastic offers can be found on Stand No. 238B at Earls Court from the 2nd to the 12th of January 2003.
Making its debut at the LIBS 2003 will be Icom's first combined VHF/DSC marine transceiver, the IC-M601. Ideal for all leisure boat users, the IC-M601 boasts excellent performance, user-friendly operation, and multiple functions making it probably the finest combined marine VHF/DSC available.
Designed with particular emphasis on commercial use the IC-M87 is a high class business marine handheld that meets both marine and simple Private Business Radio (PBR) applications. Compact and with a tough construction, the IC-M87 meets military standard requirements (MIL-STD) and is built to the same waterproof standard employed by the IC M1EuroV and IC-M21.
Icom UK Ltd are also pleased to announce the availability of the IC-M802 marine single-sideband (SSB) transceiver for customers who operate or sail under a non EU flag. The IC M802 is a marine SSB which includes Digital Selective Calling (DSC) for automated ship-to-ship and ship-to-shore messaging that doubles as a powerful MF/HF radio transceiver, and triples as an e-mail conduit for wireless computer-to-computer connections. A European version will be available in the near future.
