Icom UK Exhibits New Two Way Radio Products at Transport Security 2012
Icom UK, the UK’s leading two way radio distributor is exhibiting at the Transport Security Expo & Conference on stand G41. The two-day event takes place during 14-15 November and will be held at London Olympia. Icom will showcase its extensive range of communication equipment including two new ground to air radios as well as a new high specification digital portable radio.
New and exclusive to the show, Icom are launching the IC-A15 ground to air handheld radio. The IC-A15 is the perfect ground-to-air radio for crews working on airfields and airports. It is compact, lightweight and is ideal for the demands of the aviation environment. The IC-A15 comes as standard with a 2000mAh Lithium-Ion battery pack, giving more than 18 hours operation. It also has a powerful audio output that easily cuts through runway, departure lounge or other background noises. It takes the knocks too, due to a rugged, rain-resistant construction.
Also on show is the IC-A210E Ground-to-Air Vehicle Panel Mount. The IC-A210E is a panel-mount radio that can easily be installed in most vehicles. The versatile IC-A210E operates on both 8.33kHz and 25kHz channel spacing frequencies. The IC-A210E features an OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode), this vivid type of display offers many advantages in brightness, high contrast, wide viewing angle and response time, compared with a conventional displays.
Icom's new IC-F3262 advanced digital handheld series joins its current digital commercial product range. The submersible portable has a built-in GPS, 800mW loud audio output, and advanced emergency functions such as "man down" and "lone worker" options.
Earlier this year, Icom announced another waterproof portable, the IC-F3032S Series, which averages 17.5 hour operating time and emergency features. Both portable radios meet the physical demands of an airport, offering rugged construction with MIL-STD 810 military specifications.
