New Range of Icom VHF Models Featuring Integrated GPS Receiver to be shown at METS Marine Trade Show
Icom will be showcasing new additions to its marine product range at the METS Trade show in Amsterdam this week. Debuting at the show are new versions of its existing IC-M323 and IC-M423 models, now with integrated GPS receivers. The new versions will be called IC-M323G and IC-M423G and will run alongside the current range. The introduction of the internal GPS receiver will provide customers with simplified installation as no external GPS will be required. Each of these new models will feature all the same benefits already incorporated into this generation of Icom radios including an easy to use interface. The rotary selector and directional keypad provide intuitive operation. The high definition dot matrix display allows all information to be clearly displayed. In addition, like the IC-M423, the IC-M423G features Icom’s Active Noise Cancelling Technology. The intelligent electronics reduce background noise by up to 90% making you heard when you really need to be, helpful when the weather conditions are poor or if engines are running. The IC-M423G can also be remotely controlled by the new optional HM-195G COMMANDMIC allowing operation of all radio functions including DSC, radio, foghorn, hailer horn as well as giving intercom from the cockpit or fly bridge. The new range is expected to be available in early 2015. No pricing is available yet.
